The 3 cc Oasis MCX cartridges contain the Oasis MCX, which is a novel, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve higher selectivity and sensitivity for extracting basic compounds with cation-exchange groups. Since the Oasis MCX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

Sep-Pak Amino Propyl (NH2) Vac cartridges contain a moderately polar, silica-based bonded phase with weakly basic surface. The sorbent can be used as a polar sorbent with different selectivity for acidic/basic analytes or as a weak anion exchanges in aqueous medium below pH 8. Applications include extraction of phenols and phenolic pigments, petroleum fractionation, saccharides and drugs and metabolites. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

Sep-Pak Alumina B Vac cartridges contain a highly active grade of alumina with a basic surface chemistry. The aluminum oxide surface provides an extremely polar surface for analyte retention and has properties of a Lewis acid. This normal phase sorbent is similar in use to silica; however, it is slightly more stable than unfunctionalized silica under high pH conditions. This basic alumina is also low-capacity ion exchanger in aqueous media. Sep-Pak Alumina B Vac cartridges can be used to extract phospholipids, steroids, and catecholamines. Since Sep-Pak Alumina B is unaffected by high-energy radioactivity, these cartridges can be used for radioactive compound isolation. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

Oasis MAX Plus Short cartridges contain the Oasis MAX, which is a novel, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve higher selectivity and sensitivity for extracting acidic compounds with anion-exchange groups. Since the Oasis MAX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The 60 µm particle size is recommended when working with viscous samples. These versatile Plus Short cartridges can attach easily to pumps and syringes for reliable, positive-pressure flow to speed up the sample processing time. They can also be fitted with removable reservoirs and used on vacuum-assisted flow devices and certain automated systems.

Silica-based bonded phase with strong hydrophobicity; used to adsorb analytes of even weak hydrophobicity from aqueous solutions; typical applications include drugs and their metabolites in serum, plasma or urine, desalting of peptides, trace organics in environmental water samples, organic acids in beverages; similar in behavior to reversed-phase HPLC columns.
